LIGHT Respite Program

The L.I.G.H.T. (Living in Grace, Hope and Trust) program will provide respite care for individuals with disabilities, offering families and caregivers meaningful relief and peace of mind.

Rooted in the values of safety, inclusion, respect, and compassionate care, the L.I.G.H.T. Program creates a nurturing “home away from home” where each individual is seen, valued, and supported.

L.I.G.H.T. is more than a program—it’s a place of connection, trust, and belonging.

SPARK Day Camp

The S.P.A.R.K. Day Camp is an adaptive day camp for children and adults with disabilities. Spark focuses on a inclusive environment filled with outdoor games, themes, crafts and swimming days at Sonshine’s’ private pool! Running for 5 consecutive weeks, campers have the flexibility to sign up for anywhere from 1 week to all 5.

This program is rooted in strong values of inclusion and recreational fun and strives to give campers an unforgettable summer experience.

BEAM Day Program

B.E.A.M. (Behavioural Energy Activity Management) is a recreational day program for adults with developmental and behavioral challenges.

This program runs Monday – Friday 9am-3pm and activities include:

  • Calendar and Weather
  • Individual Programming
  • Group Programming
  • Crafts
  • Community Outings
  • Swimming
  • Life skills
  • Make-a-Lunch
  • Story Time, and
  • Karaoke

Group Home

Serving adult with developmental disabilities and behavioural challenges

  • 24-hour staffed residence
  • Previously known as Morin located in the village of Cumberland
  • Now accepting both male and female residents

Adults that reside in this home can receive support in their daily living tasks, hygiene, and behaviour supports on an individual level based on their unique needs.

They are encouraged and supported to be active members of their communities and thrive in their own ways.
